| Formed in 1990, the New York-based Blues Explosion are led by Jon Spencer, the founding guitarist/vocalist of Pussy Galore, joined by former Honeymoon Killers drummer Russell Simins and guitar ace Judah Bauer. Twin guitar/drums/no bass - false starts, false endings, false middles, too. The Blues Explosion have become the foremost purveyors of, shall we say it, modern roots music. You can hear the traditional past, but not before you hear the loud holler of immediacy. Au Go Go have been working and playing with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion since the release of their album Mo' Width in 1995, and we are proud to have two exclusive releases! |
