| BIOGRAPHY: |

| Born out of the smouldering ashes of Nation Of Ulysses, the Make Up formed in 1994. Their first two albums were live gospel records inspired by Ian Svenonuis' childhood experiences at a local Baptist Church. Their first tour of Australia was in December 1998, when they were the first international band to grace the stage at The Meredith Festival. Their lo-fi, hi-energy tour raised the temperature up & down the east coast, and left folks mouths agape. Au Go Go Records, long-standing admirers of the Make Up and their psychedelic "gospel yeh-yeh" sound, licensed their sixth album "Save Yourself" from K Records, and are preaching the delights and grooves of the Make Up to the unconverted, preparing the way for a (rumoured) second visit early in the new century... |
